Molding Methods Of Fuel Tanks-Injection Molding
Nov 19, 2017
Due to the limitation of the mold release, the fuel tank produced by injection molding process, must be divided into be divided into 2 half parts, and then the 2 half parts are glued together with adhesive or hot melt welding. The bonding strength is often different depending on the variety of materials. In addition, the injection mold is subjected to high pressure (60~130MPa) , the mold structure is complex, and the manufacturing cost is expensive. The advantage of injection molding is that the finished product’s wall thickness is easy to control, very uniform, required inserts can be assembled in the injection mold , the fuel tank box and accessory parts by injection into one.
