What we do

Homeland Development Association (HOMDAS) is a non-governmental and not-for-profit organization founded in Mogadishu in 2016 with a mission to strengthen democratization processes and government capacity, and to promote peace-building and effective governance, while integrating our values of respect, impartiality, quality, accountability, advocacy and innovation in all our work. We provide people affected by human and natural crisis in Somalia with emergency relief, livelihood support and food security. We ensure environmental protection and natural resources management, vocational educational programs and clean water. HOMDAS has nation-wide coverage with particular focus on underserved communities in Somalia.

Vision

We envision a time when all people in Somalia live in dignity, especially by providing democratization, governance and institutional capacity-building to promote peace-building in a prosperous and Somalia where people and environments are protected.

MISSION

To provide effective Governance, accountability and Institutional Capacity-Building while promoting peace-building, and sustainable food security and livelihood programs, educational programs, and socio-economic development.
